What an honor and a privilege that our boys got to meet and have special moments with their great grandfather. And he is indeed a great man! That is why we named our youngest son after him.
Rest In Peace Don Severiano 🙏🕊️

RIP Tio! You will def be missed . Love always
The nicest loving man . He welcomed me like I was family and loved seeing my husband when we visited him in Vegas . Alex always ask about him and he will be greatly missed

I was about 10 when I was playing baseball in the Valley Center Little Leaque. Our team won first place in our division and we played the first place teams in Escondido. I was pitching against an Escondido team when I looked into the stands to find my dad, and noticed my Nino sitting next to him. I remembered my Nino had this beautiful smile and it made me extremely happy to see him there. He also carried some sort of calming effect. I had one of those games that I’ll always remember but what made it special, was that he was there and I was able to share that moment with him. I’m pretty sure his presence helped me play as good as I did that day. He’s that kind of person. A person that just makes you feel good. Rest in Peace Nino😔🙏

My abuelito was the sweetest most kindest soul to ever exist 🤍
His laugh would light up any room and make you feel welcomed. He loved his family dearly and worked hard to provide a good life for generation to come. He has contributed immensely to the perosn i am today. Kind, caring, loving, hard working. I feel so honored to have gotten closer to my Abuelito’s these last few months and been able to help and get to know them more. I will always wish I had more time which makes this goodbye hurts so much more but I feel so incredibly thankful for the time I did get to spend. Love you forever abuelito🤍
My father was the rock of our family.
On his back, with his hands, his arms, and his legs, he carried a family of seven as he navigated a world that was new, unfamiliar, and often unforgiving.
He came to the United States in the early 1960s. One by one, he worked tirelessly to bring the rest of his family here, saving enough money to sponsor their applications and visas.
He spoke no English and was not literate in Spanish. In those early years, he signed official documents with little more than a scribbled signature.
And yet, he persevered.
Because of his sacrifices, every one of his children went to college, built families of their own, and watched their children become engineers, lawyers, entrepreneurs, and business leaders.
His legacy was never measured by wealth or titles. It was measured by the opportunities he created for those who came after him.
Rest well, Severiano. Your mission was accomplished.
You showed us what it means to be a great man, what true sacrifice looks like, and, most importantly, what unconditional love is.
Thank you, Dad. We will carry your legacy forward.

To our loved ones ❤️

I remember long conversations sitting in the kitchen table or sharing meals at a family party in the patio. I loved hearing your stories about how you made your way to United States and how you manage to raise the family. I learned so much from your courage and optimism.
I loved talking to you about your plants and the fruit trees. You always shared the figs and oranges. Thank you Don Severiano for all the love and fun stories. I always felt the family love. ❤️

This is the picture of my father that I was referring to. Lo quiero mucho papi y siempre te extrañare.
This is my favorite picture of my father when he began his journey in Chicago, IL from Durango, Mexico during the late 1950s. He had many hardships along the way, but he was always very resilient.
He was a gifted story teller and often shared his cherished stories with all of his family.
He was always ready for adventure, and often said “Listo para el ataque” which means “Ready for the attack.” Or that he was always ready for what the day would bring. He was an incredibly hard worker and always happy to socialize.
He taught us to love God, family, nature, and to be involved in your community.
His passion for life and vision for the future will remain within our family and for many generations to come.
I will always be thankful to God for giving me such a strong and loving father.
Papi, we will always love you so so much. We will miss your presence and humor everyday.
Papi te queremos mucho y te vamos a extrañar siempre, pero vivirás en nuestros corazones, memorias y mentes toda la vida.
Descansa en paz querido padre y que Dios te tenga en su santo reino.
