Roger Marshall's Obituary
Roger Marshall was a devoted father, inventor, seeker of knowledge, and animal lover with infinite generosity to all. He passed away too soon at the age of 69 on July 12, 2018 at Scripps Memorial Hospital after a long and valiant fight with complications following a freak fall. He is survived by his three loving daughters, Audrey (Cory), Nora (Evan), and Susanna; two adoring grandchildren, Marshall and Benjamin; his brother, Chuck (Linda); and his nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mildred, and father, Edward.
He was born on April 24, 1949 in Michigan. He graduated from Redford Union High School and graduated top of his class at Lawrence Technological University with a degree in electrical engineering. Roger had a successful career as an electrical engineer from his early days at Chrysler Corporation and Proxima to ultimately becoming President of Computer Applications Tomorrow, Incorporated. After one too many Michigan winters, Roger decided to move to San Diego, California with his family over 30 years ago, where he resided until his death. He loved to dance all styles of dance from the Waltz to Swing. His favorite pastime was working on innovative ideas and products. He also enjoyed bowling, making jokes over quality Mai Tais, giving advice, spending time with his family, and going to the horse races (though he wished he was luckier). Those that knew Roger best would say that although his life was cut short unexpectedly, he fulfilled his life goal through his favorite invention: his children. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local humane society or rescue a shelter animal in his honor
