Marcia Marlow's Obituary
Marcia Jean Marlow died on January 13, 2026 in La Jolla California. Born November 16, 1950 and raised on a farm near Lone Rock, Iowa, she was daughter to Harlan George Marlow and Viola Veronica Hutchinson Marlow, sister to Shirley Becker, Teresa Marlow, and Donna Marlow, and cherished wife of Jeffrey Carey for 51 years. Growing up Marcia enjoyed the outdoors and riding her palomino horse named Candy. After a career in computer programming and many years in San Diego, Marcia retired with Jeffrey to the countryside with space for growing things, a large pond, and abundant fruit trees – her dream. Marcia was an avid reader, an excellent cook, a good tennis player, a devout Catholic and an intelligent, thoughtful person. She was deeply loved and will be missed beyond measure.
