Les,
So much more than just our neighbor. He was sometimes our big brother, our Guardian Angel. Our everything advisor. Always available to help out. Quick to make a joke out of any statement. Wise, sharp as a tack and smart. Loved his gardening skills and got great pleasure out of sharing what he’d grown. What my wife and I will miss the most are his (almost every day) visits where we’d chat at the gate about current events, politics, the weather and health.
He is so loved and really so much MORE, I don’t know why we call him Les…

We love you and miss you Les. Thank you for the years of support and care you have always shown Shawn and me and our families. Our sons will only ever know you as their grandfather, and they your grandsons. Your selfless and quiet caring have earned you a place in our hearts forever. I hope to live up to your example.
Love you buddy,
Shad
Dearest Pat and family, Sending you healing and comforting thoughts at this difficult time. We had the privilege of caring for Les as he fought his disease so valiantly and bravely over the years. He always had a smile for us, and his quiet strength would fill the room. Pat, he could not have had a more loving wife and advocate. You fought fiercely for him every step of the way. Even on those difficult days you always found time to bake our staff the most delicious cookies. His spirit will live on through you, his children, and grandchildren. So very sorry to hear about Les. I served with him for a short while on the Jason and remember him as a quiet guy with a great sense of humor. Definitely one of the good ones, my condolences to family and friends.

My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Les Hogan.
I was in the U.S.Navy with Les.
He was my shipmate,co-worker in the same shop, and friend for about 2 years aboard the USS Jason AR-8.
He was a truly good person, and will be missed by all who knew him.
May he rest in peace.

He will be truly missed, he was the Papa at the Redcross. On the busiest hot summer drives in Temecula, he would at times, treat the staff to yogurt or ice cream. One of the kindest most patient people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. He always looked out for the staff. I am very lucky to have worked with you, Les, may you rest peacefully with the Ángels.
He was a good man he showed me the ropes when I first started working with him and we became friends for years till now. Prayer and condolences to the Hogan family. God bless friend, say hi to Don. Till next time my friend.
I’ll never forget the day he let my daughter put curlers in his hair! What a great guy. If I can find it, I’ll post a pic.
