I met Gary when I was 16 through Ham radio. He was an amazing helper when I was President of the Radio Club in my 20’s. He and Lynda were at my wedding. Recently, I was happy to have sold some commercial property for the family. 73’s Good Buddy.
Gary, I only knew you for the last year or two. Although I have been in the Vista club close to 50 years, our displays were caddy corner on the show grounds. Your going through the parade with Lynda in the old Dodge dressed up like the Beverly Hillbillies will always be in my thoughts. I met Gary a number of years ago at the Antique Gas and Steam Engine Museum in Vista after having joined the antique tractor group there. Gary always went out of his way to talk to us and always had great stories to tell about his life growing up in Escondido and exchanging with us his great knowledge of antique engines and tractors. My son was quite young when we became member of the tractor club but Gary always took the time to talk to him and make him feel like one of the "guys" and that made me realize what a great person he was. Our family will miss Gary immensely and we will grieve along with Linda his wonderful wife remembering how he touched so many lives and luckily ours being one. Thanks Gary!
