Eva Emmons, 91, of Escondido, CA, passed away at home on October 21, 2022, surrounded by her family. Eva was born in Kentucky on September 6, 1931, to Howard and Esther Goodrich as the oldest of 4 children. She married her husband Read Obituary

We joined First Baptist Church of Moorestown in 2004, and Eva always sat in the pew directly behind us. We are both very tall, and your Mom liked to joke that sitting behind us allowed her to nap or otherwise misbehave without discovery during the sermon. She always had a kind word for us and treated us as if we were her adopted sons. That is really the total extent of our relationship with her, but we were nonetheless sad when she moved to California to be with you. We exchanged Christmas cards for the next decade, which in itself demonstrates how small kindnesses can truly make a difference. We will never forget her and are sorry for your loss.
