Elizabeth "Libby" Wickliffe's Obituary
Elizabeth was married to her husband, Dr. Robert Caldwell McChord Wickliffe in 1949, in Buffalo NY. They were married for 52 years; he preceded her in death in 2001. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law. Robert Thomas and Janine Wickliffe of Valley Center, CA; son Steven Taylor Wickliffe of Anaconda, Montana; son and daughter-in-law, Paul Jeffery and Sue Wickliffe of Omaha, Nebraska; and son, John Christopher Wickliffe, also of Valley Center. She is also survived by eight wonderful grandchildren. She attended high school at the Baldwyn School in Bryn Mar. PA and graduated with a BA degree from Smith College in North Hampton, Mass. As a young woman, Libby was a New York State Archery champion and enjoyed canoeing and other outdoor activities in upper New York State and the Adirondack Mountains. Moving to Escondido in 1958, Libby was a homemaker and mother involved in her community, In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions may be made in her name to the Diabetes Research Foundation Institute, 200 S. Park Rd. #100, Hollywood, FL 33021.
