Hi Dad,
Man, I have REALLY been missing you. It was 9 years ago today when you had your triple bypass. I remember being so scared that day, afraid I might not get to take you home after. I should have known better, my Superman Dad recovered like the superhero he was, even at 81 years old! Even through something so incredibly serious, we had some good laughs ... while initially not funny, later we would laugh about the "ICU surprise party" hallucinations, and the drive home from the hospital when you wanted me to pull over on the freeway so you could go to the bathroom urgently, threatening me that you were going to let loose in the car ... but we were driving YOUR car! HAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh my goodness how I miss the laughter. Without question, I miss your silliness and the way you would make all of us laugh until we cried. You are sorely missed Dad ... still ... and forever.
