Bert was a special and kind soul. I will always remember and be fond of his gentle nature and sharp sense of humor. He reminds me of my father, Peter Warmerdam, who had much love for Bert and Betty. Bert was also somewhat legendary in the world of water quality regulation (wherein I work), with his aptitude for bringing people towards common goals and the middle ground. A charming man. He will be missed.

I was greatly privileged to work for Bert and Betty in the mid '60's for a couple of summers when the Dairy was on Lincoln Ave. Very great peace to all who had an association with this fine man.
