William C. “Bill†French's Obituary
William C. “Bill†French, 84, of Escondido passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2012. He was born on November 27, 1927 in Evansville, IN and attended Purdue University at age sixteen before joining the Navy. He later continued his education by earning a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Redlands. Mr. French retired from the Navy as a Sr. Chief Petty Officer after twenty years of service. He then went on to work for Long Beach Naval Shipyard as the Director of IT. Mr. French became a systems analyst for the County of Orange after retiring from civil service, and then served as Vice President of the Republican Party of Orange County. He was elected as councilman, and later as Mayor for the City of Westminster. Bill was active in the Real Estate Industry for many years as a Broker and business owner. Bill enjoyed dancing and traveling, especially going on cruises. As an avid sports fan, he loved cheering for his home teams with his family and friends. He was known everywhere he lived as a charismatic and compassionate member of the community. He was a Bill is survived by his children, William G.
