Wesley George Ruise, Sr.'s Obituary
He is survived by his wife, Norma P. Ruise; sister, Carol J. Rodriguez; and seven children and their partners; daughters, Cheryl A. Contreras (Jose), Barbara J. Jehling (Tom), son, Wesley G. Ruise, Jr. and companion, Maria Cordoba, daughter, Juanita M. Ruise, son Robert W. Ruise and companion Mary Toscano, sons, John P. Ruise and Joseph M. Ruise and companion, Tawny Osuna. Wesley also leaves behind 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Wesley George Ruise, Sr. lived his life in service to others. As a professional and later volunteer firefighter, a husband and a grandfather, Wesley touched and inspired the lives of many. His inspiration will live well beyond the 76 years he spent here A member of the Santa Ysabel Indian Tribe, Wesley was born at the Soboba Indian Hospital in San Jacinto, California. He spent his early years at home in School House Canyon on the Santa Ysabel Reservation, California and attended Warner Elementary School In 1958 Wesley was hired as a Foreman for the Cleveland National Forest, Palomar Ranger District. From that position, he went on to serve as a Crew Supervisor for the Forest Service, working with San Diego County inmates at the West Fork and San Jose cam Along the line, Wesley and his wife Norma raised four sons and three daughters. After retiring, Wesley, his wife and the few remaining children at home moved to the Jolla Indian Reservation, where Norma's family lived and where she had spent her early ye
