Wally is survived by his wife of 54 years: France Jean Gilbert; Brother: Donald Gilbert; Nephews: David Gilbert and Daniel Gilbert; Niece: Dawna Upchurch; 3 Grandnieces and 1 Grandnephew Wally served in the Army from 1943-1945. Wally was a self-employed collector and antique dealer for 45 years. He STARTED Beer Can Collectors of America. Donations can be made to The Escondido Historical Society or Elizabeth Hospice, 150 W. Crest St., Escondido, CA 92025 in Wally's name.
