Virginia Fae Handley's Obituary
Virginia Fae Handley (Hooker) passed away in the morning of Sunday, December 4, 2011. She succumbed to complications from diabetes, which she fought for 40 years. Born on August 9th, 1945 to Emmet and Esther Hooker in San Bernardino, CA, she grew up in Escondido. "Ginny" graduated from Escondido Union High School in 1963. She worked as a Secretary for United States International University and Cal State San Marcos. She is survived by her sons, John and Bryan Handley; her sister, Colleen Henderson; her grand-niece and nephew, Kelsey Williams and Jacob Goodwin; and her beloved dog, Charlie. As a devoted mother and loyal friend, she admired these same traits in her dogs and loved them dearly. In lieu of flowers, please consider the Escondido Humane Society or your local animal shelter.
