Vinita Brooks' Obituary
Vinita Brooks passed away on March 5th, 2013 at the age of 92. She was born in Duncan, Arizona, the daughter of Walter and Hattie Foster. She graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Business and a Teaching Credential. She moved to Escondido, CA in 1952 with her husband, Ben, and two Children. Vinita began her teaching career in Duncan, Arizona and retired in Escondido 35 years later as a Kindergarten teacher at Felicita Elementary School. She was an active member of Oak Hill Church of Christ. She is survived by her sister, Naomi Goodman who lives in Missouri; son, Melvin Brooks of Enumclaw, Wash.; daughter, Barbara Wanamaker of Carlsbad, Calif.; four grandchildren, Tanya Ashimine, Travis Robinson, Ben and Mark Brooks; and two great grandchildr
