Vincent DiGiovanni's Obituary
Vincent was preceded in death by his grandchild, Brian Rowley. He is survived by his wife, Justina E. Woelke DiGiovanni, whom he married October 22, 1952 in Escondido; children, Michael DiGiovanni, Joseph DiGiovanni (Jeannie), and Mary Bernhard (Joseph); grandchildren, Joseph Jr. DiGiovanni (Camille), Matthew DiGiovanni, Stacey Crawford (Mike), Juliann Bernhard, and Heidi Bernhard; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Anna Mae Talone, and Mary Asaro; and 77 nieces and nephews. Vincent served in the US Army and was stationed in Korea. Life experiences, though, were Vincent's education. To this day, he could add numbers in his head faster than using a calculator. He was born in New Orleans, LA, son of Michele and Lena DiGiovanni. He owned his own fertilizer business, owner and operator of Lena's Liquor Store, wholesale liquor buyer and delivery service, and an ambassador for Jack Daniels Distillery, touring the U Vincent was a member of the Elk's Lodge, with God, family, and vintage cars and trucks as his pastimes. He spent his last days watching the birds and squirrels feed from his bedroom window. He never met a stranger no matter where he traveled.
