Vernon Malvin Long's Obituary
Mr. Long is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Alice Long; sons Vernon Carl Long and Kirk Charles Long (Jennifer Selby Long). He retired in 1971 as a language professor for Otero Junior College. He spoke Spanish, French, Portuguese and English. He enjoyed teaching, reading, listening to music, cooking and traveling to Mexico. He completed his doctrinal studies. The family suggests having a Mass said in his name at any Catholic Church or donations to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
