Verne F. Maynard's Obituary
Verne Maynard went home with his Lord Jesus on Friday, August 19, 2011 in Loveland, Colorado. Vern was born to Vaughn and Emma Maynard in Santa Ana, California. He was the youngest of 6 children. He was in the Army during WWII in Germany. He worked at Santa Ana Lumber Co as a young man when he returned from the war. Verne married Joyce Elaine White on December 17, 1949. In 1963 Verne and Joyce moved to Pauma Valley, CA where the Maynard family had an orange ranch since 1943. Verne went on to buy and farm orange ranches in Pauma until he moved to Loveland Colorado i He is survived by his children, Carol Walker-Koller, Barbara Villarreal (Joe), and Michael Verne Maynard; 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; Brother - Donald Maynard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce on March 9, 2002. In lieu of flowers, the family requests gifts to be given to the Dementia/Alzheimer Foundation in Verne's name to help cure this dreadful disease.
