Urban Joseph Sweeney's Obituary
Urban is survived by his wife of 54 years: Margaret Sweeney; Sons: Dennis Sweeney and wife, Irene; Steven Sweeney and wife Lu Ann, Edward Sweeney, and Mark Sweeney and wife, Colette; and Daughter: Barbara Smetana and husband, Ken. He also has 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Urban served in the United States Army Air Corps from 1941-1945 in England. He was an active member of the 56 Fighter Group in Hailsworth, England. He graduated with a Master's Degree from Pratt University (Brooklyn, New York) in 1956. Urban was a Chief Technical Librarian at General Dynamics for 20 years which led to his being in The Book of Who's who from 1984-1987.
