Trudy Hermina Knoppert's Obituary
Trudy Knoppert passed away on August 22, 2019 at 88 years old. She was born in Naaldwyk, the Netherlands on January 14, 1931, one of 3 children of Jan and Greet Kuyvenhoven.
Her brother Jan preceded her in death and she has one surviving sister Marga (Dick)
Piet Knoppert married Trudy in 1953. While Piet started his own business, Trudy, a homemaker supported him and their 2 children Wilma and Peter in their home in Zuid‐Holland until the family immigrated into the United States in 1975, where they set roots in Escondido, California.
Quickly Piet saw opportunities and started a successful tropical plant nursery which his son Peter eventually took over at his dad’s death at 73 years of age in 1998. They lived her retirement years in Rancho Bernardo and enjoyed vacations to Holland as well as cruises with friends and family. Trudy moved to Redwood Terrace in 2015 where she led an active social life and made new friendships.
She is survived by her 2 children, Peter of Laguna Niguel and Wilma (Victor) of Escondido. Her 4 grandchildren, Loren, Clark, Stephanie (Greg) and Peter Jr. and 1 adorable great‐grandchild (Savannah.)
