Trudie Cox's Obituary
Trudie Cox, a creative artisan known for her joy, grace, and service to God and church, is now home with God. Trudie was a renaissance woman. She could do it all, with her own style and flair. Whether leading a program, crafting a banner, making a project, sewing a dress, repairing a toy, or choosing a gift, everything was "done with love by Mom". Born in Lynwood in 1925, as Gertrude Johnson, she graduated with a B.A. from the University of Redlands. She and her three brothers--Laurence, Ken and Hank--and a sister Helen all played together in the wilds of Montana. She was married for a time to Jo Trudie was an elementary school teacher, youth director, and director of children's ministries. She held countless jobs in her church and United Methodist Women. She was known as a superlative crafts person making banners, paintings, quilts, table deco She loved cooking, chocolate and chocolate. We have no doubt that if heaven was not decorated well before, it will be now. She is already planning our arrival party. Memorial donations can be sent to the church in her name.
