Thomas B. Tucker's Obituary
Tom is survived by his sons, Tom Tucker (Ann), and Scott Tucker (Midge); four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, and friends. Tom was a Veteran of WWII, having served as a combat engineer in the 3rd U.S. Army, 5th Infantry Division, 7th Combat Engineers. He was awarded the Purple Heart, the Croix de Guerre, and recently the French Legion of Honor. Over the years, he and France He was born in Ada, Oklahoma and as an infant moved with his family to San Pasqual and then to Orange Glen where he completed his elementary education. He moved to Escondido about the time he started high school and lived there for the rest of his life. An avid bird hunter and fly fisherman, Tom spent many hours pursuing both hobbies. He routinely spent two weeks a year fishing on the Kootenai River in Montana. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Elizabeth Hospice, 150 W. Crest St., Escondido, CA 92025.
