I just found out about Thomas' passing as we went into El Pollo Loco today. We always wonder aloud, "I wonder if Thomas is working today?" We did so again today, but then I saw his memorial photograph on the counter and I was stricken with sadness. We lost one of the good ones. While I really couldn't say I knew him well, every time we saw him and chatted with him, he always made our day brighter. While I know no one lives forever, I just always thought he would be there, to make this one place happier simply because he was there. Thomas, you will be missed and we'll think about you every time we go there.

I will always smile when I think of the hours we spent kibitzing about football, family and politics when I should have been working and he should have been swimming! He is sorely missed but I know he's still stirring up trouble and making people laugh. Peace. Cindi Phallen

Tom was a fixture at our YMCA for many years! He always came in with a smile and a funny story. When I adopted my daughter, he was so excited for me, and for the past 10 years has been a great "buddy" of hers! We had a raffle at a YMCA event and he won a cool purple bag, which he immediately gave to her. She always uses it when going to sleepovers and says "Remember when my friend Tom gave me this bag that he won?!?!"
When he would come to the Y to use the spa, he would always ask for her and want her to come and tell him about school or her other activities. Tom is an important part of my Y Family and will always have a place in my heart!!! He will be so very missed by so many people!

Tom was a patient of ours for years and became a dear friend. He stayed with us while he waited for his current home to be ready and we spent many holiday meals together. We loved watching Downton Abbey together and Tom was the perfect husband for Diane. I never saw a more patient man with his spouse. We will miss his infectious laugh and his humor.
