Sydney Vera Browne Risher's Obituary
Born on August 8, 1926, in Los Angeles,CA, graduated from Hoover High School in Glendale, CA in 1944, afterward attending Pomona College. Married on November 9, 1947 to Donald James Risher, of South Gate, CA. Survived by 5 children: Terry, Tim, Marte, Jenni, and Tracy. Survivied also by 16 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren whose names are listed elsewhere.
Served for many years as Registrar for Orange Glen High School before transferring to Valley High School to become principal's secretary. Retired from full-time work, but continued working for the High School District on a part-time, temporary basis for several years. Concluded her service to the school district as the Registrar for Escondido Charter High School.
Active for many years in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served as a family history missionary in the Texas McAllen Mission, where she helped Spanish-speaking Saints seek out and find their ancestors.
