Stella Jane Statile's Obituary
She is survived by her best friend and husband of 56 years, Louis Statile and her worshipping son, William; her loving sister, Mary Schetzina; and seventeen nieces and nephews. Stella, was always affectionately known to her family and friends as "Jane". She was born in New Jersey and ventured westward, where she married and remained a California resident. In her earlier years, she was a talented cosmetologist, then spent many She commemorated her 25th wedding anniversary with a multi-city tour of Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii. Jane celebrated her 80th birthday high upon the Seattle Space Needle, then spent a week at the Empress Hotel in Vancouver, B.C. Active in her son's alma mater, she became one of UCLA's most devoted fans. Rarely would she miss an opportunity to see a UCLA team play or host an alumni party. She made several trips to the Rose Bowl and the UCLA campus.
