Shokat Bandalinezhand Bakhtiary's Obituary
In loving memory of Shokat Bakhtiary
June 5, 1940 - July 12, 2025
Shokat Bakhtiary, a devoted mother and pillar of strength, passed away on July 12, 2025, at Redwood Terrace in Escondido, California. Born in Abadan, Iran, Shokat married Yarmohammad Bakhtiary at a young age and remained with him until his untimely passing due to a heart attack when she was in her late twenties.
With unwavering love and dedication, Shokat raised her three children as a single parent, instilling in them the values of strength, resilience, and determination. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were deeply loved and cherished by her.
After becoming a U.S. citizen, Shokat would visit the United States periodically until six years ago, when she decided to make it her permanent home. She found a sense of community and friendship at the Poway Adult Center, where she formed close bonds with a few special friends.
Shokat's courageous spirit was evident in her battle with cancer, which she faced with determination and strength. Though her passing leaves a profound void in the lives of her loved ones, her legacy of love, resilience, and devotion will continue to inspire and guide them.
May Shokat's memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
