Shirley Price's Obituary
Shirley Price, of Escondido, died on Monday, May 13, 2013 surrounded by her adoring family. Born in Belchertown, MA, on February 2, 1933 to Leroy and Jennie Beals, Shirley spent her childhood on a farm, where her struggles with attempting to saddle and ride cows, keeping her toes warm in cow pies, and dressing cats and pushing them around in baby carriages taught her the patience and perseverance that she would need as a mother to three boys whose exploits included setting the house on fire and surprising their parents by hauling a washing machine to the top of a tree. Shirley relocated from Massachusetts to Escondido when she was 14, where she went on to marry the love of her life, Rich Price. They spent 54 happy years together.
