Shirley Ann Barlow's Obituary
Shirley Ann Barlow was born on January 23rd, 1941 to Charles and Mary Desmul. She attended school in Escondido and graduated from Escondido High in 1958.
She married Jim Barlow on September 26th, 1958 at the United Methodist Church in Escondido, CA. They had two children, Tim and Tom Barlow.
Shirley worked at Sears and CC’s Hallmark in Escondido for many years where she made many lifelong friends.
Her hobbies included gardening and taking care of her house and lawn, knitting beanies for family and friends and giving them to the homeless. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling, going to the desert with her family and friends and riding dirt bikes and buggies. She loved all animals and birds and fed a large group of mallards, quail, squirrels and rabbits daily.
She was so proud of all the accomplishments of her boys and grandkids. She was the biggest cheerleader for their sporting events and never missed a game.
She is survived by her sons, Tim (Linda) Barlow and Tom (Lori) Barlow, four grandchildren, James, Alisa, Phil and Brett Barlow, one great grandson, Atlas Barlow and a step-granddaughter, Leslie Van Ness.
