I am a former student of Shelley’s (and friend). She usually called me once a year to check in. Last year with Covid, I didn’t hear from her. I also didn’t send out my annual Christmas cards. I just decided to search her name and sadly found her obituary from last July. She was an amazing woman and teacher. She loved her job and her students and especially being the class advisor for the class of 1987. I’m so happy I traveled across country to attend our 30th reunion as she was there and I was able to visit with her. I hope her family knows the impact she had on so many lives. You will be missed Shelley.

P.S. She even traveled to Michigan back in 1993 to attend my wedding. Amazing woman.
