Sandra Louise Mackie's Obituary
Sandra Lousie Mackie - A Life Well Lived
On Sunday, May 28th 2023 Sandra Louise Mackie passed peacefully from this life. On this day, she joined her beloved late husband David Mackie in eternity.
Sandra was born on November 7, 1935 to her parents Paul and Esther Holdren of Red Oak, Iowa. She is survived by her younger sisters Karen Skinner and Judy Hallett, an extended family of nieces and nephews, and a host of friends who loved and adored her.
As a dedicated student and lifelong learner, Sandra graduated from Fresno State University with her teaching degree and certificate. In the coming years she also pursued master degrees from Pepperdine University in Business Administration and Home Economics. She continuously worked toward furthering herself professionally and was an accomplished and well respected teacher, business woman and real estate investor.
Sandra had a heart for working with the elderly and through the encouragement of an attorney, pursued attaining her private fiduciary license. It was here that all of her skills that she accumulated throughout her long professional life really flourished. She truly found her rhythm and purpose in helping others to leave behind a well planned legacy to their loved ones.
Sandra’s legacy to those she leaves behind is the beautiful message of living an intentional life. To love and live with purpose, and to always be mindful of finishing well. For this we are forever grateful.
A graveside service will be held in Sandra Mackie’s honor on Wednesday, June 14th at 11:30 am at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills. A Luncheon Reception will follow at The Garland, 4222 Vineland Ave, North Hollywood at 1:30pm. Please RSVP to [email protected] if you will be in attendance.
