San Juana Alto's Obituary
San Juana Alto, “Chata” born Sept.15, 1924 in Hackberry, Arizona, passed away on Jan. 20, 2022. San Juana joins her husband Marcus M. Alto, Jr., and her son Albert P. Alto in heaven. She is survived by her children; Patricia(Patty)Brokiewicz(Dave), Roland(Ronnie)Alto, Sr.( Maria), Daniel (Danny)Alto, Sr.(Pam), Janice Banderas(Pedro), and Lydia Green. She has 14 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren, plus 2 more Great-Grandchildren on the way (Feb.,July).
In her years before, she loved to crochet. She made a few doilies for her tables. She was so good at crocheting, that she didn’t have to be looking at her fingers while conversating or watching T.V. When she did her laundry she didn’t believe in the “dryer”. She would hang all of her clothes outside to dry with the nice, fresh breeze. Everyone loved when she made her homemade flour tortillas. They were so soft and so round. Her favorite T.V. Show Saturday evenings was “Sabado Gigante”. During the week she was ready for the “Price is Right” at 10 a.m. At 7 p.m. “Wheel of Fortune” and “Everybody Loves Raymond.”
San Juana “Chata” was a very kind, caring and loving person that loved her family very much. She was a person that would put family first before herself. She is truly going to be missed.
