Born in El Modena, CA, Ruth was the daughter of George and Lucille Robles Cordova. Former long time resident of Escondido, California, Los Angeles and Orange County, she relocated to Antioch, CA in 2003. Ruth was the wife of 63 years to John Hurtado. She attended Escondido High School, Class of 1952. She retired from being a licensed Vocational Nurse from Palomar Memorial Hospital in Escondido, California after 37 years. She was the biggest advocate and cheerleader for the many sporting activities enjoyed not only by her children, but also her grandchildren. She loved her roses and gardening, crossword puzzles and she was a huge Wimbledon tennis fan. Ruth was admired and loved by many local Escondido friends. She served on many little league and girl's softball boards and was a member of the Escondido High School class reunion committee.
