Ronald Roscoe Johnson's Obituary
Ron was born in San Bernardino, CA to Walter and Emma Johnson. He married Shirley L. Jones in 1961 in Escondido, CA. They had four children: Sheryl (Ralph) Lenti, Randy (Michelle) Johnson, Michael Johnson, and Susan Wilson (David Eckstrom, Jr.) He was a loving grandfather to his ten grandchildren, and five great-granddaughters. also survived by his caring Mother-in-law: Ada Jones, siblings: Karen Darling (Jack), David Johnson (Carol), Nancy Gilliland (Ken), Diana Kriddler (Ken) Brother-in-law: Richard E. Jones Jr (Marie), Carol Marsh (Steven), Aunt Norma Putnam and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ron graduated from Escondido High School in 1959. After schooling he worked in the family business, National Quarries. In 1976, he started Johnson Pump Service were he worked until recently. Along his journey he enjoyed collecting and polishing rocks, fishing, boating, dune buggying, traveling and camping with family and friends. Ron's days always started with his band of coffee shop buddies. He was a member of the California Ground Water Association, Consuelo Lodge, Escondido Moose Lodge, and Las Ramadas Camping Club.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society.
