Mr. Maescher is survived by his son, Donald Maescher (Marlene Bellamy); daughter Mary Maescher; grandchildren, Peter (Aimee), Christopher (Amy), and Rebecca Maescher; great-grandchildren, Brooke, Katherine, Bailey, and Jonathan. He graduated from Hollywood High School and then received his degree in chemical engineering from USC in 1938. He married Mary McKinley in 1939, and they spent 65 wonderful years together until her death in 2004. He worked for Mobile Oil Company his entire career, both in California and in New Jersey.
