Robert Leroy Younger's Obituary
Robert Leroy Younger, of Escondido, CA, passed away January 20, 2019 after a brave battle with cancer, at the age of 74. He was born on July 10, 1944 in Lynwood, CA to Le Roy Younger and Anna (Ellis) Younger.
He served in the United States Navy, as a medic assigned to the Marines, from 1963 to 1967, during which time he was deployed to Vietnam. After he served in the military, he entered School of Radiology and was a Radiologic Technologist for 40 years.
Robert enjoyed spending time with his family; his passions included reading and crossword puzzles.
Robert is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marlene; mother in law, Barbara Palembas; his daughter, Kristen and son in law, Cody; grandchildren, Ethan and Mason; and sister, Ann Matney.
A Memorial Mass and Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 1 at 11:00 am at the Church of Resurrection, 1445 Conway Drive, Escondido, CA 92027. A reception will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a veterans organization or cancer society of your choice.
