Robert Russell Collier's Obituary
Robert is survived by Dorothy, his wife of 33 years; sisters, Alice Roberson, Diane Price and Elsie Kay Traylor; step-daughters, Donna, Cynthia (Pat), and Dot (Kirk); daughter, Charlotte Marie Collier-Kent; grandchildren, Greg (Jody), Andrea, and Dylan; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Daisy, Vaughn and Sophie; and brother-in-law, Nick Matseas. He was raised in Yachats, Oregon where he spent his childhood years enjoying life by the sea. Mr. Collier excelled in Scholastic endeavors and, following high school, attended Oregon State College and Cal Poly Pomona, where he received his BS degree in B Bob married his wife, Dorothy on December 24, 1977. The Collier's lived for a time in Hesperia, California where he was active in the Senior community and was proud of his volunteer efforts for Meals on Wheels. Recently they moved to Escondido to be closer to family. His love for renovating several homes and his gardening projects kept him busy and happy for years. Bob was known for his sense of humor, his positive outlook, and his genuine kind heart and caring nature. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
