Bob was our pastor and good friend from 1970 to1993. His love and caring for his church and we were a close knit family of friends at PFB. My children were good friends with Jon and Jan. He was a wonderful preacher and he and Peggy blessed us with their musical talents. Love to the family. Jan Hill
We met Bob on November 17, a mere 3 days before his passing, at the engagement party of his granddaughter, Kelly Grace Rooks to our nephew. What an interesting & engaging man! He shared with us many stories & photos of his wife, his home, & his love for his family. Even though we had just met him, we thoroughly enjoyed his company & were saddened by his death. Our deepest condolences are extended to his family for their loss but he’s with his beloved wife in Heaven now,
Brother Bob Rooks was used by God to help me come to know Jesus and to disciple and encourage me as a new believer. I will always be grateful for his love and patience and faithfulness to God’s Word. He allowed me to preach my first sermons. He prayed for me and counciled me, and yes, even rebuked me at times. Very few people on this earth mean as much to me as Bro. Bob Rooks!
