Robert "Rob" Gruning's Obituary
Robert Charles Gruning (Rob) went home to be with the Lord October 14th, 2019. His final days were spent surrounded by his devoted wife, Nancy, three children, and four grandchildren.
In his younger adult years, he enjoyed coaching youth basketball and soccer. He married the love of his life, Nancy, on December 22, 1979. They were devoted to each other and to their mutual faith in Our Lord, and their devotions only grew stronger as the years went by. As he and Nancy grew their own family, his time and focus turned to his children. His enduring legacy is that he leaves behind three adult children who love Jesus and for whom their faith is foundational in both their lives and the lives of their own families.
His family invites you to join them in celebrating his life as a husband, father, son, brother, and friend, but most of all as a beloved child of God who put his hope for eternity in the free gift of salvation offered through faith in Jesus Christ and is now enjoying eternal rest and freedom in the presence of his loving Savior.
Visitation will be Monday, October 21, 5pm-8pm ( Rosary at 7), at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary 225 S Broadway, Escondido
Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, October 22,, 10 am at St Timothy's Catholic Church, 2960 Canyon Rd, Escondido
