Uncle Bob & I in 1977ish…..my memories of him will always be accompanied by the smell of bubblegum and sounds of guitar strings but most importantly for the way he made me feel after my Dad’s passing. Until the last few years, Uncle Bob never let a birthday pass by or an occasion to remember Dad without reaching out and I’ll forever cherish his kindness.

in honor of Robert.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Robert, but my brother Dennis Willingham would talk about how much he learned from him when they would jam together. After his death, Michelle helped me through some difficult times and shared a tape of her singing Amazing Grace to play at his memorials. She would talk frequently about her dad and his love for music, and playing the guitar. Now hearing the video of him playing, I can hear the influences of his style that I used to enjoy so much at Dennis' performances. I'm sure the two, and my son, are making beautiful music together for the glory of The Lord and His angels. May he rest in peace until the day we all return home and are together in Heaven. 🎸❤️🙏
