Richard is survived by his wife of 55 years: Evelyn A. Ruel; Daughters: Barbara R. Heath and husband, Barry, Janice l. Baldridge, Patricia E. Bell, Laura R. Robinson, and Kathleen R. Funk and husband, Gary. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Richard was a BTCS in the United States Navy for 21 years. He served in World War II and the Korean War. Richard also worked at Bank of America for 20 years. He climbed the ranks and retired from Bank of America as a Regional Vice-President. He was an active member of Church of the Resurrection. He enjoyed reading and loved the challenge of crossword puzzles
