Richard Dick Mears' Obituary
Richard “Dick†Mears, 82, passed away at his Rancho Bernardo home on Saturday, October 20, 2012. Dick was born on March 17, 1930 in Orange, NJ. He graduated from Garden City High School in New York. Mr. Mears worked for American Airlines as a crew planner for more than 48 years before his retirement in 1992. Dick was a member of San Rafael Catholic Church, the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, RSVP, and the Knights of Columbus San He is survived by his wife, Lillian; sons, Jeffrey (Brooke) Mears, Keith (Susan) Mears; and grandchildren, Rebecca Mears, Ryan Mears and Jennifer Mears. He was preceded in death by son, Douglas Mears. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Dick’s name to the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre in c/o San Rafael Catholic Church.
