Richard Robert Riegler's Obituary
Richard "Dick" Robert Riegler passed away November 22, 2019 surrounded by family. He was a loving husband, father, and Pop. He leaves behind a loving family who miss him deeply but knows he is watching after them from heaven. He was the rock of the family, always dependable, hardworking, loving and caring. He leaves behind a loving wife Barbara, two sons, Michael and John, three daughters, Mary, Hayley, and Hannah, three grandsons Cameron, Liam and Luka, a granddaughter, Aurelia, a brother, Bob and many friends. Dick was born in Chicago but grew up in the suburbs of Los Angeles along with his brother Robert who he remained very close with throughout his life. He was a standout athlete particularly in baseball. He worked his way through University and became a certified public accountant. Thirty-one years ago, the family moved to Escondido to the family home which they still live in today. Dick always made time to coach his kids’ sports teams and watch their games. He worked hard to ensure his family had a joyful and happy life. He will always be loved and missed.
His funeral mass will be at Noon at Resurrection Catholic Church in Escondido, CA on
January 17th, 2020. There will be a rosary before at 11:30 am. A reception will follow at the Riegler family home.
