Remedios Divinagracia's Obituary
Remedios Divinagracia, affectionally known as Remy or Med, was born on January 26, 1935 and went home to be with the Lord on August 28, 2023. Remy was born in Olongapo Philippines to Ricardo and Rosalina Otero. One of 7 children she had 5 sisters, Carmen (deceased), Theresa (deceased), Mary, Rose, Cecil and one brother, Richard (deceased). Remy was an athletic child who enjoyed swimming, biking, volleyball and softball. She also enjoyed her many cousins and the family time they spent together. Remy married Wilfredo Zamora (deceased) when she was 22 years old. Together they raised 6 children; Elizabeth, Richard, Jeffrey, Cindi, James and Dean, all of whom reside in San Diego. Remy was a hard worker and the family recalled that, although they didn’t have a lot of money, they were rich in family as the entire family spent the weekends together at Remy’s home. There were meals shared, games played and a whole bunch of laundry done. It was there that the next generation of grandkids learned the importance of family time. Remy was blessed to marry long time friend Rodolfo (Rudy) Divinagracia. They shared the rest of his life together before he passed in 2011 Her legacy is one of family. Her final wish to her children and grandchildren was that they would continue the tradition of spending as much time together as they can, especially the holidays. She also asked that they spend time with God and that they teach their children about God. She has left a giant hole that no one person will be able to fill; however, collectively, as a family, they can make the hole a lot smaller by remaining close together.
