Obituary for Philip Perillo
In loving memory of Philip Perillo (known by his family as Butchie), born October 20, 1947 in Waterbury, Connecticut, who passed away on March 6, 2020 from a sudden heart attack. He moved to California in the 1960’s where he entered the US Navy and served on the USS Jason as a seaman and the ship’s barber. He was employed by Aramark Services from 1978-1995. Subsequently he worked as Uniform Manager at Valley View Casino for approximately 10 years and as an usher at the Del Mar Racetrack from 1995 to the present. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sharon (Zawadsky) Perillo, brother-in-law, Peter M. Zawadsky M.D. of Maryland, sister, Loretta Inturrisi and brother-in-law, Pasquale Inturrisi of Connecticut., brother, James Perillo and sister-in-law, Carmel Perillo of Connecticut., and daughter (from previous marriage) Lisa Brite, son-in-law, Kevin Brite and granddaughter, Nicolette Brite of New Mexico. He is preceded in death by his father, Philip Nicholas Perillo and mother Philomena Perillo of Connecticut. He is also survived by his aunt and uncle, niece and nephew and several cousins from Connecticut. Celebration of life services will be held at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary in Escondido, CA on March 22nd beginning at 2:00 PM with military burial at Miramar National Cemetery on March 23rd at 9:00 AM.
