Peter Petrovic's Obituary
Peter Petrovic was born on May 13, 1956 to Tanasije and Danica (Zarkovacki) in Stara Pazova, Yugoslavia. Peter was 12 years old in the spring of 1969 when his family escaped from communist Yugoslavia, In the fall of 1969 Peter's family was able to immigrate to the United States first settling in Akron, OH before moving to southern California in 1972. Peter sought the Lord in repentance at age 16 and was baptized in Detroit, Michigan in March 1975.
He was united in marriage to Marian Jeremov on September 10, 1978. Their union was blessed with 3 children. Peter enjoyed his work as a general contractor for over 40 years. He found great pleasure working alongside his family and sub-contractors, always willing to share God's love. He had a gift for working with his hands, both on the job site and in his garden at home.
Peter was a member of the Apostolic Christian Faith Church in Ramona California. His faith was very important to him and his intention and fondest hope was, with God's help, to keep the faith of his fathers and to pass it down to the generations that follow.
As a member of the E. European Relief Committee, he considered it a great blessing to serve as a representative of his beloved church denomination.
Peter passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Tuesday June 2, 2026. He was 70 years old.
Peter is survived by his wife, Marian of Ramona; his children: Yasmin (Terry) Koehl of Hancock, MN, Philip (Tasha) of Escondido, CA, and Rachel (Zach) Kuenzi of Ramona, CA; 9 grandchildren and 12 siblings. He is preceded in death by his parents, Tanasije and Danica, and 7 siblings.
