Paul Wilber Tifft, Jr.'s Obituary
Paul was preceded in death by his father: Paul Wilbur Tifft in 1947; his mother: Bessie L. Tifft in 1942, and sister: Verna Carter in 1990. Paul is survived by his wife of 58 years: Carol Yvonne Tifft; Son: William Paul Tifft and wife, Julie and Daughters: Cynthia Tifft and husband, Forrest Hall, and Janice Thede and husband, Jeffrey. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren. Paul was a military man. He retired as a captain with the United States Coast Guard after serving 28 years. He was commanding officer of the United States Coast Guard Air Station in San Diego in 1974. Paul had a Bachelor of Science degree. Paul was a member of Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of Albar Shrine and Bernardo Heights Country Club. He played trumpet in the Pomerado Community Band.
