Paul Raymond Strohm's Obituary
Paul Raymond Strohm, 94, of Rancho Bernardo died peacefully following a brief illness on Monday, August 27, 2012. Born on October 8, 1917 in Centralia, Kansas, to Frances and Wynn Strohm. He spent his early years in Beattie, Kansas until his father's death in 1930. He grew up in Maryville, Missouri where he attended high school and college, graduating from Northwest Missouri State Teachers College in 1939. His father, mother, brother, Leo and sister, Amelia preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of nearly 65 years, the love of his life, Mildred Kolegraff Strohm. Also surviving him are his son, Greg (Joan) of Grand Blanc, MI, daughters, Carole (Ja He joined TWA's engineering department following graduation and worked for them for 41 years. In 1942, he enlisted in the Army and served as Navigator Instructor in the Army Air Corps until 1945. His career with TWA took him from Kansas City, MO to Burban He was a quiet man of faith and conviction. Never drawing attention to himself, he was very active in whatever parish he joined serving as a lector and eucharistic minister. He joined the Knights of Columbus in 1934 and was a 3rd Degree Knight in the Vall He will be remembered as a kind and gentle man, who was always willing to help, true to his faith and beliefs.
