PATRICIA MARIE KOSTICK
October 14, 1928 – March 4, 2020
Patricia Marie Kostick was born on October 14, 1928 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on March 4, 2020 in Escondido, California. She graduated in 1946 from Edison High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Patricia worked as a cashier for more than 25 years. She moved her family to Escondido in 1970, following the death of her husband. She was employed by Fedmart from 1970 to 1982. Following the closing of Fedmart, Patricia became a Certified Nurse Aid, caring for elderly patients in their homes. Patricia also volunteered at Joslyn Senior Center in Escondido for many years. She attended St. Mary’s Church and Resurrection Church. Patricia was known for being an animal lover. She enjoyed raising numerous breeds of cats and dogs up until the age of 85. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Kostick, in 1969. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Rosalia & Geroge Mitchell, Sr.; her brother, George Mitchell , Jr.; and sister Dorothie Mitchell. Patricia is survived by her six children: daughter Jackie (Keith) Everhart of Escondido; son Mike (June) Kostick of Scapoose, Oregon; daughter Terri (Joe) Cardoza of Escondido; son Greg (Jodi) Kostick of Oroville, California; daughter Chris Kostick Meza of Escondido; and daughter Kim (Gary) Goodspeed of North Bend, Washington. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Patricia was the proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and another great-grandchild on the way. Patricia will be laid to rest with her father, George Mitchell, Sr., and her sister, Dorothie Mitchell, at Oak Hill Memorial Park in Escondido. Celebration of Life Services for Patricia have been postponed at this time.
