Patricia Agnes Ciani's Obituary
On June 6, 2023, Patricia Agnes Ciani (Tobin) died of complications of Alzheimer Disease, she was 86 years old. Pat is survived by her son, John David Ciani, his wife, Angela, and grandson, Brennan from York, Maine. In addition, she is survived by her siblings Beverly, Jo Ann, Mary, Helen, David, Theresa and Paul. Her other siblings, Michael and Robert (Bob) preceded her in death.
Pat was born July 21, 1936 in New Underwood, South Dakota. She graduated from Escondido High School in 1956 and later from San Diego State with a degree in Education. Pat married John Benjamin Ciani (d. 1996) in Las Vegas and both lived and worked in the Oxnard/Port Hueneme area for about 30 years until moving to Escondido in 1986.
Patricia fulfilled many roles in her lifetime, Educator, Business Owner, Caregiver, staunch Democrat and Cat lover are only a few of the titles she held. By far, the most important and the one she was best at was Mother.
A graveside memorial service for Pat is scheduled for August 10, 2023 at 11:30am at Oak Hill Memorial Cemetery in Escondido. The service will be immediately followed by a Celebration of Life lunch at Cocina del Charro in Escondido at 12:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be sent to Meals on Wheels San Diego County - San Marcos.
