Nancy Louise Pangonis' Obituary
Nancy “Mimi” Pangonis, of Escondido, California, passed away early in the morning on Saturday, November 04, 2017 at Palomar Hospital, with her family by her side. She had recently celebrated her 80th birthday with her family.
Nancy was born on October 27, 1937 in Des Moines, Iowa to Ray and Ruth McBride. In her youth, Nancy was involved in various philanthropic efforts, was former Miss Escondido, and loved to dance. She dedicated her life to raising her children and being the greatest mother and “Mimi.” She worked in the medical administration field for many years, retiring at the age of 72.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Ruth McBride, and her grandson, James Pangonis. She is survived by her brother (Richard McBride), 4 children (Ralph Jr., Cathleen, Linda, and Bobby), 11 grandchildren (Nicole Beebe, Ryan Pangonis, Eric Pangonis, Melinda Beebe, Dr. Alan Goff Jr., Melissa Goff, Nikolus Pangonis, Jarred Goff, Patience Pangonis, Hunter Pangonis, and Delayni Pangonis), and 7 great-grandchildren (Caydence Semensow, Wyatt Goff, Penelope Pangonis, Stella Pangonis, Vance Goff, Leona Pangonis, and Guinevere Pangonis ~ due December 2017).
Nancy will be remembered as a devoted and loving mother, and as an attentive and caring grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed and was loved by all who knew her.
A memorial service and rosary, organized by Alhiser-Comer Mortuary, will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm, with rosary starting at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at the Church of St. Timothy on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 10:00 am. Following mass, the burial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends and family are encouraged to attend.
