Mirosava Mihailovich's Obituary
Mirosava “Lila” Mihailovich passed away peacefully in Carlsbad, CA on Dec. 28, 2025 surrounded by her three adoring children. Lila was born in Zeoke (Serbia) Yugoslavia on March 12, 1932 to Milorad and Leposava Đurđević. By the age of three, Lila was orphaned and subsequently adopted, along with her two brothers, by her Uncle Radovan and Aunt Kosana Đurđević, who had three children of their own. Lila married the late Radenko Mihailovich on Dec. 16, 1956 and they emigrated to the United States on Dec. 16, 1960 with their eldest son. They had three children: Branko, Stevan and Vera. Lila was a devout parishioner of St. Simeon Mirotoćivi (Chicago, IL.) until 1999 and then St. Petka (San Marcos, CA.). Aside from her three children, Lila is survived by many beloved family members, kumovi and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026 at St. Petka (1854 Knob Hill Rd, San Marcos, CA 92069) followed by burial at St. Sava (4355 E 2nd St, East Los Angeles, CA 90022).In lieu of flowers, the family recommends that people make a donation to https://St.Petka in Lila’s name at https://www.stpetkachurch.com/donate.
